Welcome to Benton High School JROTC

 

The mission of the Benton High School program is to maintain an AFJROTC unit that is recognized as one of the finest units in the world, while adhering to AFJROTC’s mission statement as reflected in paragraph one above.

 

To accomplish this mission, the LA-951st AFJROTC will meet the following objectives:

 

     a.  Foster in each cadet a sense of extreme pride in the unit and a strong desire to

          contribute to the successful accomplishment of our mission.

 

     b.  Meet the high standards of appearance and conduct expected by the U.S. Air Force,

          Air Force JROTC, and Benton High School.

 

     c.  Build citizenship and character through a program of active involvement in school

          and community affairs.

 

     d.  Sponsor an outstanding color guard.

 

     e.  Accomplish all cadet programs and activities through a cadet organization that

          requires the cadets to assume the responsibility for planning, organizing, and  

          supervising activities.

 

     f.  Conduct interesting field trips and co-curricular activities.

 

    g.  Recruit and train highly qualified students that can achieve and maintain the high

          standards of excellence required by our Cadet Corps and Benton High School.

 

     h.  Actively participate in the Benton High School AFJROTC Academic and

  Leadership Programs to achieve course goals and objectives.

 

 i.  Promote a feeling of national pride and patriotism.

 

j.  Provide counseling and career guidance to cadets interested in selecting a vocation

         in the Aerospace career area.

 

 k.  Build character through community goals and projects.
